bite me.

ok, don't kill me for not blogging about the bintan trip yet(it's in the midst) but i just had to rave on and on and on about how AWESOME [twilight] is. its been my LIFE dream to be a vampire can?!!!

i just watched the show and the modern day vampires are just so cool now! they are fairer than ever, don't melt in the sun(instead they get shimmery pearl-like skin), can jump really high, move super fast.. and if all that can't convince you to just adore them, check out the way they play baseball.

mind-blowing.

go watch go watch!!! it looks hundred times better in the cinema! i'm gonna watch the show again lor! i can't stand how cool it is la!!

n the worst thing is, i can nv be one of them. =(

disturbia

i think i'm falling into a big evil hole of darkness called shebang. it's been such a long time since i cried while drunk and yest the reason was totally stupid! hai. i can't wait to quit before i get sucked in again. i keep telling myself to be more motivated and focused in my day job but everyday i just procrastinate!

i wanna change my life but all i can do is sit behind the computer and bitch. i hate working there but i'm scared i secretly like it. like i've told my friends, my life became more happening again after working at a pub, but i dunno if its more in a good way or bad way. suddenly everything just seems so uncertain. hopefully its just the emo kicking in for awhile.

p.s bintan post up soon!

SHOPAHOLIC IS COMING TO THE BIG SCREENS!!

Some of you may know her as Becky Bloomwood, from the popular [Shopaholic] series by Sophie Kinsella. Those books are like my favourite books in my whole life!! Becky's character is so likeable and funny and I feel that I can really relate to her. I was so crazy about her after reading [Shopaholic and Baby] that I went online to search for news on the next book and found something way better!! THE MOVIE!!!! I had goosebumps while watching the trailer. Watch it watch it watch it!!!!

It's coming out in Feb next year!! I can't wait! So excited!!!! Lol. Somemore they chose one of my favourite actresses to play Becky! But there were afew gripes on the casting of Luke Brandon; Hugh Dancy is playing him but people think that he's too boyish and cute and that Christian Bale is more suitable for the role. My personal opinion is that Christian Bale is too serious looking, they need someone manly yet looks like he has a sense of humour. And they kinda messed up the book abit by setting it in New York straightaway instead of UK. But whatever! I just wanna watch the show!!!!

where should i start?

this year has been so sucky for me!!! i haven't been blogging coz i have been tired out with work!! and of coz all my friends. heh. but ya, i mentioned i was working at shebang? only planning to work there for half a year. just on weekends. i wanna concentrate on my day job but i have no choice coz i need the money!

which is why i think i'm damn suay this year. but a couple of weeks ago, i was in the cab thinking how suay i was when i realised most of the problems are partially my own fault. *sigh* i mean if i were luckier all the rubbish wouldn't have happened but still i had a choice. and then, on that VERY day itself, i lost my laptop coz i was rushing to my clients house and left it in the cab!!! really feel like killing myself la. must stop being so disorganised already!

my birthday pics all inside.. sobz.. i actually felt so tired of everything that i didn't wana blog anymore but i guess its an outlet to release my emotions.. ever since i worked at shebang i keep meeting bastards!! ok la, maybe it should be singular, but ya.. really sick of the pub life la. everytime see the same thing. and almost everytime end up seh. it gets so tiring.

the past few weeks i think i've been not as happy as usual and easily irritated/emotional. god, i really hate being emo. damn annoyed with myself la!!

ok, just wanted to update u guys. next blog post will be a happy one. if not i'm not gonna blog till i have something happy to blog about. please please let next year be a better year!!!

oh ya! i'm going bintan in nov!! with the babes. can't wait la. think i really need it..

can you remember your graduation day?

Nuffnang is having a competition and the winners get to attend the gala premiere of [High School Musical 3: Senior Year]!! More about that after I watch it, but for now, lets do a recap on my 'high school' graduation..

KC graduation actually kinda sucked. While other schools get nice prom dinners, we had graduation TEA! Like damn budget la. And the atmosphere was totally ruined coz it was like in the middle of the day. Our school made this rule where EVERYONE had to wear a dress or skirt if not you wouldn't be allowed into the ballroom.

So even some of the butches wore dresses and surprised us with how pretty they could look if they wanted to. But of course there were the rebellious ones like *ahem* Cammie, ShiWan and Winnie who wore pants and were not allowed in. LOL.

Maybe it was coz I watched too many movies and expected it to be like bonding and dancing and everyone promising to keep in touch and be friends for life, so I was kinda disappointed that it was just our classes performing and I think the teachers performed too. (Can't really remember la, 7 years ago leh! Old liao.)

And during that time, Vitamin C's [Graduation] was quite popular. (I can still remember her name! Memory not bad ah.) Everytime I heard it on radio I would get very emo and dread the day we all part, but on the graduation day when they played that song (just as i expected) I totally had no feelings lor! I thought I would cry buckets of tears but I didn't. Guess the mood was just not there. Sad la my graduation.

So, if your graduation sucked too, or even if it didn't, relive your youthful days and..

Catch Walt Disney Pictures' High School Musical 3: Senior Year in cinemas from October 24!

mamma mia!

i could give you like a hundred reasons why i love watching movies, but since i think that would bore you, here's one; the right show improves my mood drastically.

yest i watched [eagle eye] with my bro. i've been dying to watch that show and it really doesn't disappoint! plus my bro is great company, he never fails to make me laugh. i think i'd be super lonely if i was an only child.

but this post is not about [eagle eye] or my bro so i shan't digress. i met juf and gary to watch [mamma mia!] just now. it was another show that i kinda wanted to watch for quite some time already.

well, at first it was kinda disturbing to watch meryl streep and her 2 old friends jump around like teenagers, but after awhile it started to get heartwarming seeing them bond over annoyingly addictive retro songs. surprisingly the music made me feel like dancing! not the [step up] or [make it happen] kind but more of just jumping around and having fun kind. i think i might just try mambo one day.

and i loved that they showed the mother and daughter's friendship and closeness with their respective cliques as well as with each other. made me think of my babes. love you guys! we'll be happening mothers next time ya?

plus, amanda seyfried's voice is damn damn nice la!! abba songs are gonna be the next ktv craze!! for me, at least. and i bet jas will get a kick out of singing them too. maybe in rooms instead of pubs la. pub atmosphere too cheena.

i was actually feeling upset this week coz of some insanely stupid thing but how not to feel happy after watching this kinda cheery show? lolz. i can't believe this but i actually can't wait to work tml. at shebang i mean. haha. for those who don't know, now you know. i'm working there part time. have been since 2 weeks back.

keke. birthday pix up soon. hmm. i should really go set up a movie blog.

p.s. it should be called [papa M.I.A.] instead right? if you don't get it, either you dunno what the show's about or you're slow.

p.p.s. omg! i just realised i watched 4 movies 4 days in a row! =X

argh.

i officially hate myself. like ALOT. god, seriously, why can't i just learn from my mistakes instead of making the same mistake twice?!!! i should know very well the evils of alcohol by now then i won't be bumming at home pitying myself.

now that i think about it, i really should have known better. the signs; all the same, except this time i only have myself to blame. (it rhymes!lolz) well, what better way to take my mind off things other then MAHJONG! haha. gonna play in awhile.

updates soon.

TOTALLY RANDOM stuff

First, check out this youtube/myspace singer called Lisa Lavie.

I usually don't like to embed videos unless there are ah bengs or techno involved but this girl is GOOOOD! Nice vocals, nice lyrics and nice tune! If you're very free can go youtube and watch her sing a cover of 'No One'. Nice!

Next, lately I've been feeling nostalgic. I miss being young and happy and carefree without stress. Some might say that I'm still stress free now but I finally have an inkling of what STRESSED means thanks to my job.

Anyway, that wasn't my point la. My point is, I will never be able to be with the person I loved the most. I know it didn't seem like that was my point but now I'm telling you it is. I know I'm being random hence the title. It's so sad just thinking of the past la. I'll never understand why certain things are the way they are. I'm starting to question myself..

I think only a handful of you will understand what I'm talking about so lets keep it that way for the time being.

Lastly, I was reading CLEO and they had an article on '30 Things To Do Before You Turn 30'. Let's see what I've done..

1. Channel a classic movie - throw a drink in a man's face.

Never done before unless you count spitting at my brother by accident. Interesting, will keep it in mind.

2. Delete the words "random" and "totally" from your vocab.

Oops. What's the title of this entry again? Anyway, I have like, 7 years, to do it so no sweat.

3. Divorce toxic friends.

DONE.

4. Learn how to successfully change a car tyre.

I don't even know how to drive yet I learn for what?! Of coz once I get my license I will learn it..

5. Break someone's heart; have your own heart broken.

I dunno what's the logic behind this but done and done.

6. Have a killer joke (you tell perfectly) ready to use for one of those awkward moments.

*Awkward silence* Why did the chicken cross the playground? *pause* To get to the other slide! *Even more awkward silence* Fine, I'll go do more research.

7. Use an alias for a day.

Can consider done. Last time in secondary school everybody had aliases. Mine was Jennifer and Yvonne coz I liked those 2 names. I still like the name Jennifer! =)

8. Dine unaccompanied in a nice restaurant.

I never understood how people could watch movie/club/eat in a restaurant alone so this will be hard to do.

9. Spend a whole pay packet on a pair of shoes.

Trust me. I'd love to! (I just hope Jace is not reading this if not wait she get more depressed.)

10. Break up with a man whom you know is bad for you; similarly, have a fling with a guy whom you know is bad for you!

My boyfriends have never been bad for me (At least, thats what I think!) but most of the flings definately were bad for me..

11. Travel somewhere by youself, be it a foreign country or just a weekend road trip.

Sounds enticing but totally out of the question unless I conquer my fear of ghosts. I'm a scaredy-cat! =x

12. Try something you always said you'd never do - like skydiving or eating escargot.

Well, I did go and get myself tanned didn't I? Lasted a whole freaking year too! In fact the tan lines can still faintly be seen! Argh. Never again. Escargots are YUMMY by the way.

13. Find out which friends you can and can't trust, and learn not to take it the hard way.

This year I found out who I can't trust. Twice. The first one I can let go coz it doesn't really matter to me, but the second one involves money so I think I am entitled to take it the hard way yes?

14. Volunteer for a charity you really care about.

Ok, I still have 7 years!

15. Quit a job without having another lined up.

Done!

16. Live by yourself for at least 6 months.

Never!! I'm scared and dependant.

17. Run (or at least train for) a marathon.

Yay, in the process of doing. Lately my friends all into jogging so I signed up for the KPE run with them. 5km only la, I think I really too long never exercise already. I went jogging with Gary on Mon, ran 1.5km and had stitches, and my thighs ached till Thurs. God, I really must practise if not I'll be crawling through the 5km.

18. Pay off your credit card debt/car loan.

*Calculates*Hmm, should be able to pay off my debts in 7 years time. Heh.

19. Visit a strip club.

Singapore got meh?! What's up with CLEO and these weird suggestions man.

20. Learn how to stand up for yourself whenever you receive poor customer service. You deserve better than that.

I think most of us have already done this. After all, we're Singaporeans. We don't take shit, we COMPLAIN!

21. Learn how to choose the perfect wine.

Boring. Not interested at all.

22. Have a favourite book that isn't chick-lit.

Done!

23. Forgive someone who wronged you; apologise to someone you've betrayed.

Forgiving doesn't mean you have to talk to the person right? Done.

24. Cook an impressive three-course meal for someone.

But I don't want to cause anyone to get food poisoning lehz. =P

25. Confess that (present or past) crush to a friend.

Even better, how 'bout a 17 year infatuation? I'll do it this Christmas, trying to work up the courage.

26. Buy a complete set of screwdrivers, a cordless drill and a lace bra.

Lace bra, I have. The other two, WHATEVER THE HELL FOR??!

27. Go to an art gallery and buy an original piece of art.

I already have an original piece of art. Its on my back.

28. Have a one-night stand (or more than one).

What's wrong with CLEO?! All these funny suggestions. How can they condone this?! *ahem* No comments.

29.Drink a cocktail in a posh bar in Paris.

Damn. I should have done this when I went there. Now I have to go again.

30. Drive a wickedly cool car even if you have to rent it.

My car will be cool. It will be totally pink.

Finally finished! Actually just did that for fun la. I'm not really gonna try to do all those things.. Except maybe throw a drink at a guy, lolz!

Record Breaking!

Yes, I'm finally updating!! I broke a personal record this week but more about that later, now the long awaited update..

020808(Jas and SW birthday celebration)

The theme was pink(chosen by my dear of coz) and orange(jas). So obviously I chose to wear pink la! In fact, almost 80% of the 30 over guests they invited wore pink lor! Haha pink RULEZ! (i can hear jas protesting now) As usual, pictures talk!

What I wore

Pink earrings, pink halter, pink cardigan and pink bracelet! Haha. I'm a fully certified pink lover!

Dinner at Waraku!

Extremely BIG portions. Or should I say it looks big judging by the size of the bowl? Food was good though kinda ex..

Group pictures

See.. Only like a couple of people wore orange. Lolz.

Half seh

Apparently I was quite gone that night. What I know is that I kept wanting to fight and wanted to go CantoRock to dance techno. What I didn't know, however, is that I threw a lemon at Jace(who i really really miss alot btw!!) when she gave it to me to bite. LOL. Totally don't recall that. Scary. Poor Jace, once in a blue moon go club then have to take care of half the people there. =x

Actually got alot more photos, but since it was quite awhile back this about sums it up. Since then I've been busy WORKING! Haha, ok la, plus trying to go out as often as usual. Plus finally finishing up [They Kiss Again] AND starting on [Fated To Love You].

I finished the whole show in less than a week!! Yup, thats the record I broke. I know its nothing big la, but with my *ahem* busy schedule its not an easy feat ok!! And the show is damn nice la.. Really can't start watching taiwan dramas again if not will seriously feel that singapore guys are quite sad.

Nvm, ming zhong zhu ding wo ai ta! =P

super UP update!

ok, i'm supposed to be sleeping now but i decided to be nice and bring you the latest news before the newspapers later.

i was at east coast mac with my friend just now when we suddenly saw afew firemen walk past. at first i thought there was a fire or something but lazy to go see so we just continued sitting there till we heard 2 guys talking about a drowning. apparently, one woman was found but there was another woman and man yet to be found. one of the guys said that they were drunk when they fell in.

so being a typical kpo singaporean, we went to the beach to check it out and there were 3 civil defence trucks, 2 police cars, one ambulance and one diving response team there. plus a whole crowd of people.

while we were standing there watching the divers get prepared, heard rumors going around that the guy pulled one of the ladies into the sea and they had been missing since 10pm(it was 2am then). my friend commented that maybe the guy was possessed and i seriously got goosebumps, what with it being the 7th month and all..(sleeping in my bro's room now.)

we stayed till 2.30am when the divers already went in their boat to search then my friend had to leave so we went off. tried to take afew photos but was very dark so this was the best i could do..

moral of the story? treasure your life, live each day to the fullest and be NICE! coz judgement day is like a thief in the night, you'll never know when its coming. i'm abit freaked out now.

XIAXUE vs DAWN YANG - when will it stop?

For those of you who don't know about it, this is like the biggest thing happening in the blogosphere now. So big, in fact, that it made headlines on the Sunday Times and made normal citizens wonder if the newspapers suddenly had nothing better to write about.

Actually it all started on June 30th, when Xiaxue blogged a whole entry about how 'plastic' Dawn is. That was around the same time that I was going through the break-up so the ongoing cyber fight really kept me occupied and entertained. At that time I was already tempted to blog about it but I was busy settling other things and thought this would die off after awhile. I didn't expect that it'd drag so long and be so big! How big? Well, seems like netizens everywhere are setting up Dawn hate sites and trying to expose her plastic side.

Ok, before I continue, my thoughts on the 2 girls. As I've already said, I admire Xiaxue for her ability to do what I've always wanted to; making a living through blogging. I must admit that her blog is funny and entertaining, but she's also constantly bitching about the smallest issues and seems to think that she's always right about EVERYTHING. I believe that she can actually be funny and entertaining, without being such a bitch, if she wants to. Dawn.. Well, to be honest I hated her coz she's so damn hot, but realising its plastic.. I still kinda hated her. Lolz. And her blog is totally boring. The only reason why anyone would read it before this whole drama would be to check out her photos. And the best part is.. I'll get to that later.

Even though I feel that Xiaxue is a better blogger by a long shot, I kinda pity Dawn now. The numerous sites set up about her lies have not only exposed the fact that she had undergone plastic surgery, but also how she has posed as her own fan in forums and plagiarised blog articles. And they even have proof! So the best part is, most of her blog was COPIED and it was still boring!! Thats damn sad la.

I'm lazy to blog about everything in detail so if you want, you can go read these 2 websites. xxvsdy and theliesofdawn . I think people have been too hard on Dawn already la, Xiaxue was actually the one who started everything by slagging her off then now her many crazy fans are digging up dirt on Dawn just coz she's gonna sue their beloved Xiaxue.

Like I said, I don't really like either of them though I read Xiaxue's blog almost everyday, but read those anti-Dawn blogs and anyone with the tiniest bit of compassion would think that those people are going too far already la! If she has to go for plastic surgery then doesn't it show how insecure of a person she is? How much further do they want to push her? Until she commit suicide then they happy ah? And if that happens, are they willing to accept that her blood will be on their hands?

I think it's highly possible that Xiaxue set up the hate site herself. Afterall, she has done it before what. You see, she herself has many flaws but just coz she's entertaining, people tend to overlook them. And I bet Dawn's haters who are flaming her like mad are divided into 3 categories; Xiaxue's fans(a big number of them), jealous girls and afew guys who know they can never get her. If not why make such a big fuss over such a small issue?

Anyway, just wanna make it clear that I'm not siding Dawn. I just feel that the whole plastic surgery thing is just a small matter. The plagiarism is definately wrong though, anybody who blogs would know to quote or cite their sources! BUT now that she has been exposed and apologised for it, is there a need to keep on slamming her and criticising her? Go see the 2 blogs tagboard and I think you would feel scared that anyone can have that amount of hate in their hearts. Enough is enough la. I wonder how long is this gonna continue? Till they get bored of this whole issue? Or till something really bad happens? Hmmm.

i'm back!!!!

Yup yup, sorry for the lag in blogging. Been busy with birthdays, chalets, movies, ktv-ing, getting drunk and the usual stuff.. Oh, and work of coz. Lolz. Plus there was this LITTLE problem I had to settle which I do not wish to speak of. Or should I say can't. When I first learnt of it, I wished I had the guts to kill myself. Which of coz, I'm so glad I didn't because I've learnt so many valuable lessons from it. (Plus I realised I still love living no matter how shitty things get. I stand firm in what I believe in; when there's life, there's hope.)

Firstly, a friend in need is truly a friend indeed. To those of you who know what I'm talking about, thanks so much for all the support and help. You know I love you guys. I can't even begin to mention how much. Secondly, money IS definately the root of all evil which links to the third, being, I really should stop being so fucking naive stupid.

Well, you know what they say.. Bad things come in threes. Although that's only two.. wait a minute, I guess the break-up can't be considered a bad thing. My bad. We never really understood each other anyway, even more so now. It's just the memories which has to be locked away. Next time I must really look before I leap. But it's funny how when something bad happens, it helps us to get over what we thought was bad before that. It's time people start thinking positive and be glad the worst shit hasn't happened. Ok, I know I'm starting to sound uncomprehensible, so basically, I'm just trying to say be grateful for what you have coz there are people with worse fates around.

Anyway, my problems are in the midst of being settled, but I kinda was thinking and couldn't sleep and I have to wake up at 8am later, so the best solution would be not to sleep of coz. Time to catch up on my blogging and since I've abandoned my post about Thumper, the very least I can say is.. they have free flow on ladies' night! Although I did hear from Lynn, who was the one who intro-ed the place, that they're like under renovation or something so you might wanna double check before going down.

Ok, that's it. Guess I'm gonna try go sleep now.

Haha. Just kidding!!! God, I don't know whats making me so hyper at this time of the night. Anyway, I think the Australia post is long overdue so here goes.. (As usual, I'll try to let the pictures do the talking.)

The flight there..

My mum on one side..
and my act-cool-but-actually-super-excited bro on the other!
HAPPY!

touchdown!

It was drizzling when we reached. Such a bleak welcome.. But nothing could spoil our moods! We rented 2 cars (for 3 'children' and 3 couples) but I forgot to take pictures of the car! They were both Toyota, one 8 seater and one normal one.

First stop was Gold Coast Surfers Paradise Ipanema Apartments, the place we stayed at for about half the time in Australia. I loved it! My family took one unit, which has two bedrooms and TWO TOILETS!!!!

living room

kitchen

swimming pool and jacuzzi!

a stove and sink in my very own room!!!

Ok, I took this photo afew days into our stay there so that explains the messiness. And yes, I joined the two beds together coz I was a little scared at night. Heh. Not as scared as I was in Thailand though. It just seemed more black magic-y and ghostly and eerie there than in Australia. Plus of coz there was the dubious looking 'hotel' and all. This apartment? Just awesome.

The balcony outside our room was where I'd smoke at night. I only smoked like twice a day there, but I guess that was bad enough considering that the last time I went to Paris with my dad and his friends I wasn't even a smoker. Then again, that was like 5 years ago. Anyway, isn't the view just soooo nice?? I totally loved the apartment.

where we had our first meal in aussie!

Went for Sat evening mass. The church that we went to seemed like a small community where everyone was nice and friendly. Yes, I know I look like a total fashion disaster but it was freaking cold there can?!! I couldn't wait to get back to Singapore's weather! But now it's so hot la. Hai.. It's true that humans are all fan jian. But I think I can really tolerate heat more than cold.

Day 2

Went to visit my grandaunt in Brisbane. My mother's 2 cousins were so hospitable! They came all the way to Gold Coast to fetch us and sent us home at the end of the day. And trust me, it is a super long and ass-numbing trip from one place to the other. I think it took like 3-4 hours. I dunno, I was sleeping throughout most of the journey.

They even cooked laksa for us for lunch! AND offered me spaghetti when I told them I couldn't really eat spicy food. That was after they exclaimed disbelief that someone with paranakan blood couldn't eat chilli. For the benefit of those of you who don't know, I think I can't eat spicy food coz when I young my mum would always threaten to put chilli in my mouth whenever I said something foul. And she'd really do it. Hmm. Maybe I should do that to my kids. Haha!

in my grandaunt's house

her ultra big garden

After lunch, we went to Mount Cootha, which is some mountain top la. Check out the view..

It was breath-taking. I can't wait to go to Switzerland and see what it's like there! Anyway, they had 2 cafes there and even though it was cold, it's never too cold for ice-cream! I ate chocolates and ice-cream there everyday!! Which is why I came back pimply(still trying to get rid of the last few pimples) and 5kg heavier(which i've since lost again thank god)!!

Then we went to some park which reminded me of sentosa but abit smaller and less entertainment.

After that, went for dinner! Yes, half our time there was spent eating.

Looks like a supermarket right? But it's actually a place where you can choose your seafood fresh and they cook it on the spot for u!! If you want also can buy it home and cook yourself la, but people cook for you why don't want?

Day 3

We're going to DreamWorld!! 'We' being my brother, Daniel and me!! There was a short debate about whether to go DreamWorld(my brother wanted to see the animals. *rolls eyes*) or MovieWorld(i wanted to see some STARS.) Daniel was like neutral and I realised MovieWorld was mostly just normal people dressed up as superheroes/cartoon characters, so DreamWorld it was.

First, breakfast of course. We went to Surfer's Paradise where they had Macs and this place called Hungry Jacks which I found super familiar..

BK anyone?
I kept exclaiming that it was a BK imitation till I looked closely at my orange juice cup and realised that its licensed under BK. But why they renamed it is something I pondered about for a good half hour or so while eating. And I still don't understand why. The mysteries of life.. Anyway, the food was much better than Singapore's BK. They had hotcakes and nice wraps with bacon and egg!

After that filling breakfast, we went to DreamWorld not once thinking that we might puke after sitting the rides.(we didn't la but still.. we could have!)

The 120m drop in the background. Genting seems mild compared to this!

The first 'ride' we took.

The first few rides we sat were all abit kiddish coz my bro's a wimp!(jace now i know how you felt)So the first thriller of the day was this 360-degree spinning ride. Chris didn't take the ride so he helped to take photos. Can see me?

I'm on the exteme right next to Daniel.

It was heart-stopping can?! When it flings you downwards from the top all you have is the filmsy safety lock to keep you from dropping dead onto the ground! I kept praying throughout the whole thing and gripped the handlebars so hard that my nails dug into my palm.

Look at the imprints! Lucky my bro never take with us sia.. He has asthma and smartly forgot to bring his inhaler along, I scared wait he hyperventilate. Lolz.

Another thrill ride which we took called 'The Claw'

This one not scary, but the feeling super shiok. Abit like Viking but nicer! Then we went to see the animals.. First, we went to see a REAL tiger show. There was one white tiger which is supposedly on the brink of extinction and one.. normal tiger.

That day, I learnt that tigers actually can climb trees, so if you ever get chased by one, don't bother climbing a tree ok..? Next, on to the koala bears and kangeroos.. *yawn* I took a pic with a koala bear before when I was young so I didn't bother taking another. Have to pay AUD$20 lehz! Somemore after that my bro complained that he smelled of pee. Haha!

I know it looks harmless but its scary lehz! I saw 2 kangeroos fighting just a few minutes before we attempted to touch them and they looked like they could attack us any moment. And those people just let them loose all around the park. So dangerous lor!

The last ride that we took was a water ride so we had to endure a cold and wet and long journey back home. But it was all worth it coz once we reached the apartment we jumped into the nice and warm jacuzzi! Bliss.

Day 4

Started out with one of the best breakfasts ever! It was at this award-winning pie place which also had mouth-watering pastries(in a variety of colours!) and super refreshing juices!

yummy!!

Then we headed down to Surfer's Paradise to chill at the beach awhile.

My dad is so funny. The water so cold he still die die wanna go in then still try to pull people in.. Lolz. But surprisingly there were still some people surfing there and stuff. Guess they're used to the weather there la. I just cam-whored and then sat there and took in the FRESH air and great scenery. =)

Then we went crabbing!!! Or at least that's what we were told we were gonna do.. 'Catch crabs.'

We sailed for abit then somewhere in the middle we were surrounded by these birds and the crew(there were ony 2 of them) gave us some small slimy dead fish to feed them. It was quite fun la, just throw the fish in the air and the birds would immediately fly up to gobble them up.
my mother wants to be captain!
Then we sailed to the place where we were supposed to catch the crabs, but guess what? Apparently their definition of 'crabbing' is to set the traps like dunno how many days beforehand and when we reached there all we did was pull up the traps!! Nonsense.
The crabs we 'caught'

But in all fairness, after that we got to dig for yabbies and go fishing!! What are yabbies you ask? They are fish bait which look like a cross between prawns and lobsters but the mini mini version! Yabbies!

I know the picture doesn't match my description but in real life they really do look like what I described!!! Ok, I shall go and find a more accurate picture from wiki.

See!

The most interesting part was how we caught the yabbies. Before we went on this whole crabbing thingy, my dad assured me we wouldn't have to step into the lake. But it was a lie!! We had to go knee deep into the possibly crocodile infested water to catch the yabbies! Ok la, I could have chosen not to do it, but why miss out the fun right? Lucky I didn't watch [Rogue Crocodile]. =x

We used the pump to suck the sand and sift it in the sifting tray and we'll get the yabbies which were hiding in the sand! Sounds simple right? I only caught 2. =(

Luckily the weather was not that cold on that day. After that they let us fish for a pathetic 45 minutes.

At least one of us managed to catch something. They told us there was a rule in that state of Australia where the fish actually had to be over or under a certain weight then can bring home, if not have to throw back in. Luckily our fishy met the requirements so they cleaned it for us and packed it up. We ate it for supper later that night..

After that, they cooked the crabs for us (we had to pay an extra AUD$10 each if we wanted to eat but it was worth every cent!!) and we had a very yummilicious meal of crabs and oysters!!! It was damn fresh and succulent!!! Thinking about it makes me hungry.. I want seafood!!!!!

Then we went to some fruit and vegetable farm where the adults (i know technically i'm also supposed to be considered an adult but i was hanging with the teens!) went crazy over cheap avocadoes and other green stuff. I was bored stiff so i ate 2 ice creams while we were there. Yup, 5kg alert!
Day 5

Went for breakfast at Mac's(!!) then took a flight to Adelaide. I have made a pact with myself that I'm gonna try eating Mac in all the other countries that I visit coz they have such special different stuff! Check out this one..

McAmerica looks good.....and so do all the other limited edition burgers! AND CHECK OUT THEIR MAC CAFE!!!!

It looks so much more scrumptious than ours! But luckily ours not like that if not I'll be much much fatter!

Droolworthy

When we were at the airport waiting for the flight, Daniel bought hokkien mee for freaking AUD$13!!!!!!

It was small and he says it was 'ok only'. Lolz. Well, everything must be tried once I guess.

When we reached our Aunt's place in Adelaide we received a very warm welcome with.. surprise surprise.. a whole tableful of good food like chicken, beef, lamb, veggies, mash potatoes, corn.. and afew other things. That's almost like eating at Carnivore! How to not put on weight there I ask you?

This is only when 3/4 the courses were served.. Dessert was custard pudding. Heaven.. Then my brother and I went over to our cousin's house to stay and this was our nice room..Its actually our 2 baby nieces room but I didn't wanna sleep alone so they moved to some other room.. Hehe..

Sooo CUTE right?! Just adore them!

Day 6

We went for a picnic which was madness in the icy cold weather! It was even colder there than in Gold Coast! Daytime around 14 degrees and as low as 6 degrees at night. Brr.

Then we walked around the shops in that little german themed town. Got ALOT of sweet and chocolate shops lor! First was this chocolate shop which had cute phrases stuck on the wall..

how true

Then there was this totally awesome candy shop which looked like it came right out of an Enid Blyton book. I finally got to see all the sweets I could only read about, like humbugs and macaroons and honeycombs and licorice! Ok, I know Singapore also have, but not in such a quaint shop and altogether in one place! Candy Empire is so.. blah.

Day 7

Went to visit some boring herbal place where this guy was giving a little talk on the plants that he grew. On the bright side, we went wine tasting after that! Free wine!!!

Cold cold cold!

Naiii-ohhh-mieeeee

Doesn't my mum just look so.. tiny in that big oversized coat?

I love the name of this wine! It tastes good too.

Life sized wine bottle

A real fireplace!

The view of the wine valley was splendid but sadly, I dunno why I can't find any pictures of it now.

After that, we went to this place called the Whispering Wall. It's like a huge concave bridge/wall where you whisper at one end and the person at the other end can hear you. Cool or what?

One side of the wall was a river and this was on the other side. It would've been abit scary to look down for someone afraid of heights.

Then we went shopping!! They had lotsa clubbing clothes on sale as it was winter there. Yay! In between we went to the arcade and their arcade is super big lor! Had everything from all the old school games like water pistol shooting to new stuff like Initial D and even bumper cars! But the best thing I saw was this..

Deal or No Deal!!! Hahahaha.. I tried playing but only won like 5 tickets. =\

Dinner was at Hog's Breath Cafe, where apparently they cook the steak for EIGHTEEN hours. It was gooood. I must go try the Singapore one and see how it stacks up against the original.

Corona salt and pepper shakers!
They had a playroom for kids..
...and their toilet signs were.. interesting.
That was our last night so I begged my mum to allow my brother to go clubbing and my nice cousin Ty brought us around. Went to 2 clubs and another place. Damn fun till I got dead drunk and just wanted to lie down. The fun was coz its another country, but Singapore clubbing scene definately more happening!

Can you spot the extra large margarita? Shared by 5 people!

Day 8

Going home day.. Best part? I had a bloody huge hangover and only slept for one hour! So on the way to the airport and while waiting for the flight I had to put up with major headaches and nauseousness. Told myself no drinking and smoking once I reach Singapore, but well.. Heh.

Bye bye my favourite niece, Caitlyn! She looks so cutely blur.

Oh yah, forgot to mention one more thing I've been doing. Watching [How I Met Your Mother]!!! That's what I was doing while waiting for all those pics to upload. Damn funny la the show. Thanks to Cammie who passed me season 1. For those of you who don't have such nice/un-busy(i know there's no such word but if I say free won't you get the wrong idea?) friends, you can always watch it on http://www.fanpop.com/. They have EVERY nice series you can think of there. If it's not there, well.. it's not nice!

P.S. I took TWO WEEKS to complete this entry and I think I just broke my longest entry record!! Hey! Are you.. Sleeping?? Anyway, I promise I'll try to blog short entries more often instead of MIA-ing and then dropping a super long entry on you all k!
